Safety & PPE

• Ensure you are familiar with the equipment and its controls before operating.
• Inspect the equipment before use and do not use damaged or faulty equipment.
• Keep children, bystanders and pets clear of the work area.
• Wear appropriate PPE, which may include:
  • Wear appropriate chainsaw protective clothing and suitable protective Safety glasses or a face shield
  • Hearing protection
  • Sturdy enclosed footwear or safety boots
  • Gloves appropriate to the task
  • Respiratory protection where dust or fumes may be present
• Check the work area for hazards such as underground services, power lines, rocks, debris and uneven ground.
• Never remove or bypass safety guards or protective devices.
• Switch off and isolate equipment before refueling, clearing blockages or making adjustments.
• Use equipment only for its intended purpose and within its operating limits.
• Additional PPE or safety requirements may apply depending on the equipment being hired.
